I cleared the recent file, and it seems like it deleted the files. I didn't think it would eliminate the files on move out of recents?

If you tap the the "Clear List" option in the action bar, it absolutely does not delete anything from the library. All of the songs should still show up fine on the Songs list, and any setlists that were in the list are still on the Setlists tab. If you long pressed songs on the recent tab, then tapped "Delete Song" in the action bar, that would have deleted the songs and their files.

Maybe you've accidentally a filter employed you have to clear?
