Just want to add another +1 on this.
I have previously thought of two ways this could work:
1) sticky notes - essentially bookmarks with no names. You would be able to drop them very quickly as there would be no naming process. Potentially could have a few different colours or even be able to drop them at certain points on a page.
2) Within annotations: you would be able to pull up a list of every annotation of a certain colour. Obviously this might end up in a really really long (and useless list) unless you decide explicitly to only put red marks at certain points, and then were able to quickly find every red annotation.

OH, WOW, I need this feature. Or a variation.
I direct wind ensmbles. I need a way FAST to mark a spot. And it can't be ana annotation, as that is too many presses when I'm running the group.
It could be simply a long press adds a colored flag, at the spot I press. And there is a flags listing... like bookmark light. But no typing. No text. Just marks, visible on the page, and listed in a separate pop up menu.
That way, after the run, I can easily flip back to the trouble spots.
I use two samsung tab ultra. And it is awesome, but I really need this feature as it is the ONE thing I can do with paper that I can't do with MS.
Thank you!!

The first time I wrote about this feature request was in 2023 while I was working on a recording from 2021 with John Williams conducting. For this session (and of course any recording session in general) I needed a very efficient way to jump to specific places to show him what still needed to be addressed by him in the rehearsals.
Now our orchestra is playing a John Williams programme again - but John Williams unfortunately is not able to come to Europe anymore.
But this reminded me again how much a sticky notes feature as described be the various people here in the thread would improve the usability of MSP in (orchestral, chamber music, recording) real life situations. The number of people looking into this thread also shows me that this seems to be a hot topic.
Is there any update in the roadmap thinkable which would include this functionality? The simpler (and quicker), the better! Thank you!

Personally I don't need that feature, but I thought about it.
Mike, can't you tweak the link point feature a little bit and you already have what is requested here?
Can't you allow "single" linkpoints (also to add with touch action) without a starting linkpoint which are then viewable and can be navigated to from the link point window?
Just a thought. I have no idea how difficult things are to change or program.
P.S. Or don't even make that single linkpoints. If you add a touchaction for setting a link point and its partner (preferably the same touch action depending if there's a first one or not), then you already have a sticky point feature (sort of) which can be viewed in the link point window. Yes, the user would have to make 2 touch actions and set a start and an end link point on the same page, but that shouldn't bother much since it should be only a mark anyway. (Of course you can't/shouldn't normal link points in the score otherwise).

If I'm going to make changes for this, I'd rather it be a separate feature instead of having to make major changes to link points to allow them to serve two very different purposes, as that would still result in a bunch of database and UI changes, and create confusion for users most likely. I appreciate the suggestion though!
As far as when I'll tackle this, I'm not sure at the moment. I'm being asked for a lot of different things by a lot of different people and it's hard to gauge all the priorities. At the moment, I just want to focus on what I'm already working on to get it released so I can focus on the next set of updates.
