Backup MobileSheets on Android to local drive
#1
How are you backing up?

I've been syncing to a MS-Windows install and then backing THAT up to a local network share I have for backups.

I'd like to move MobileSheets entirely to Android but I can't see how to backup to a local drive.

I don't want to chew up more space on my device and I don't want to use Dropbox or OneDrive.

I have a local server that I can access via Samba shares or sftp but MobileSheets doesn't offer me an obvious path.

Any suggestions?

Must not be many people with this problem since this message is over 2 years old and no one has answered you.

I have been using Mobile Sheets on Microsoft Surface Pro's, but I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. That's mainly because our church music app runs on Android or Apple. I was running it on Windows with the android environment, but Microsoft has removed that feature. So, I reverted to using the Android version of Mobile sheets.

Anyway, to the question of backup. Your idea of syncing to a Windows install and then backing up from there sounds like a good idea. I have had problems running a sync with my music collection, though. I have > 11K songs, and 38G of files. I haven't tried a sync for a while because they took forever and tended to hang up. What I have been doing is to back up the tablet to a USB flash drive, and then sneaker netting it over to a drive on my network.

I found your message because I want to be able to write the backup to a windows share directly from Mobile Sheets.
