Using an existing cloud library of scanned sheet music
#1
My band librarian is starting to digitise our music library - which is large.  He's scanning the parts and is intending to share these via a cloud storage service (probably Google Drive or OneDrive).  If players want to treat the stored parts as a MobileSheets database, should it be structured in any particular way?  Thanks.

Andrew,

If you are going to want a separate database for each part, then you'd want to use the Switch Library feature to create a separate library (unless each musician is only going to use a single part) before importing. It doesn't matter how the files are organized for each part though, unless you are wanting to use the option to populate metadata from directory structures.

Alternatively, you can use the batch import feature for the directory containing each part and assign each part to a different collection. You can then just filter on the collection for the particular part.
