ABC File Support
ABC files can be used to generate sheet music from text. ABC files can be imported directly into MobileSheets and managed in the library, or added as part of Chord Pro Files. Unlike regular PDFs or images, ABC files can be transposed. Read more about ABC files and see some examples here: https://abcnotation.com/
Fixed Page Sizes
Text and chord pro files now support a new setting for the page size to use. This provides a way to ensure that chord pro files appear the exact same across devices regardless of their size or resolution. This also ensures that annotations will be positioned correctly for each device.
ChordPro Grids
ChordPro grids are now supported which provides a consistent way to arrange chords. The chord sizes in the grid can be configured as well as the grid line and text colors. More changes will be coming soon to ensure MobileSheets matches the standard ChordPro specification.
Chord Pro Enhancements
MobileSheets now supports a new setting to allow lowercase chords, and ABC segments can now be added with {start_of_abc}/{end_of_abc}
Companion App Redesign
A completely redesigned companion app is now available with a large list of enhancements. It supports light and dark themes, all of the same languages as MobileSheets and new features like a rearrange pages window and cropping editor. The companion app is currently available for Windows and will be available for MacOS and Linux very soon. The companion app can be downloaded here.
Backup Reminder
A backup reminder has added to help remind users to backup their library. Many users never create backups or forget to do it regularly, but you never know when your device might be lost or broken. The reminder will prevent users from losing all their hard work in setting up their library. The interval for the backup can be configured in the settings.
General Bug Fixes and Improvements
Many important bug fixes and enhancements have been added as part of the 3.9 updates, including faster printing of PDFs, fixes for display issues across various devices, the addition of missing Jazz rest symbols and improvements for taking pictures with the device camera. The version 3.9 update is available for free on all supported app stores across Android, Windows and iOS.
