Hey,
I would like to use .abc notation for all my brazilian choro tunes, with Mobilesheets as my viewer of choice, because it is awesome.
One of the prerequisites is that I can control how it looks like on my 10" Android tablet, more precisely:
* I want to use all the vertical space, so that the notes are as big as possible
* I don't necessarily want to use all the horizontal space, because if I remove all left and right margin, the notes are sometimes too spaced out and I find it harder to read.
Here is a sample piece that I have:
Quote:%%propagate-accidentals octave
%%partsfont Times-BoldItalic 20 box
%%leftmargin 50
%%rightmargin 50
%%topmargin 0
%%botmargin 0
X:1
T:Seu Louren\cco no Vinho
C: Pixinguinha/Benedito Lacerda
%%MIDI gchord fc2cfhcf
M:2/4
L:1/16
P:AABBACCA
Q:1/4=92
R:Choro
K:C clef=treble
%%pagescale 1.20
P:A

The process I'm going through right now to tweak the rendering of the ABC for my tablet is:
1. I set %%rightmargin and %%leftmargin to 0
2. I set %%pagescale (defined just before the notes after the headers) to the highest value that
* uses all the vertical space
* doesn't have measures overflowing to another line, I want to keep the same number of lines defined in the ABC.
3. I then adjust %%rightmargin and %%leftmargin to higher values if I find that the notes are too spread apart.
This works, but it is a bit tedious, I need to do it for every piece, and if I send the .abc file to someone else with a tablet with other dimensions, it might not display as well.
I understand the "crop" feature doesn't work for .abc files as the music sheet is rendered on opening. But could we imagine to have an option in Mobilesheets Pro to "fit to page" so that I don't have to specify the "%%pagescale" at all?
Any other suggestions are welcome.
Additionally, I noticed that %%topmargin and %%botmargin don't seem to do anything. Looking at this documentation [ http://moinejf.free.fr/abcm2ps-doc/index.html ] for abc2svg, it seems it's only taken into account for "page" mode, which I'm not sure what this is.
Thanks again for the awesome work on Mobilesheets and I hope this .abc integration will bring a lot of new users.

Setlists not working properly |

When I create a setlist and click on it, the songs in the setlist appear in a list, in the correct order.
When I click load all, the first song comes up. But when I click on the screen to move to the next songs, they are in the wrong order, but also songs that are not in the setlist appear.
This is not solved by clicking on any of the individual songs instead of load all. It always brings up the correct song that I click on, but once I try to click through the set list it is random.
The sort settings are set to manual and ascending.
This seems like a bug, can anyone help?
Thanks

Library transfer failed partially [solved] |

I tried to transfer a library from a Samsung S7+ (SM-T796B) to a further tablet (TCL Nxtpaper 14)
and did it this way:
TCL:
- Install MS
- create library "mylibrary", because this is the actual library name on S7+ I want to transfer.
- Let MS manage my files: unchecked
- MS storage location: my own location (not the default!)
- Expose database file: checked
S7+:
- Copy the file path I´m using to a stick
- Copy all MS database files also to a stick
TCL: (from stick)
- Copy file tree and complete database files to "my own location"
- Open MS (library mylibrary)
- - Settings
- - Other Settings
- - fix broken file path
Everything works as expected, BUT:
- some songs (not all!) original built by csv-import are wrong
(songbook specific, some books are ok, the most are wrong), that means
a songbook is either complete correct or complete wrong transfered.
- In library the correct PAGE_COUNT and PAGE_ORDER are displayed, but
if I open a song the full songbook is opened, not the selected song.
(see attachments, for orientation also song title formatting).
The PDF´s are ok, I digitalizied them by my own, they are correct.
Anyone any idea how to clear this?
thx4anyhelp.

Grid-Size (and chorus-indnet and comment-color) |

Hello Michael,
i already opened a bug in the bugtracker, but i have the impression, that you dont really use it. at least, the problem still persists, and for me (since one of the last updates it became much worse) its kind of pretty urgent.
by the way, before i start to "complain": i love mobilesheets and within the last years it became a daily used tool to practice and on stage. i cant live without it anymore! you did a really great job. the feature-richness is amazing - although i am still missing some things (for example chord-diagrams)
i was very happy when you introduced the chord-grid. before i was using some ugly work-arround to arrange chord-grids within chordpro, that costed me lots of time to arrange chord-grids somehow. so, when you released the first version with chord-grid-function i started to change all my chordpro-files one by one with the new chordgrid-feature.
unfortunatelly i had from the very beginning until now problems to make the size fit to my needs. sometimes i am using very long chord names, but also with short chord-names i have the problem of overlapping display.
i dont understand why the chrod-grid-size changes the size of the chords AND the space between them. i would expect that the size just changes the space of the "grid", but not of the chords - for the size of the chrods, we have already the option to configure it. is this a bug or, did you do this on purpose?
although, by the way: i am missing a feature where i can specify the ammount of indent of the chorus. many times its way to much indented and words are ugly wrapped in a new line, that should remain in the same line.
at the moment, lots of chord-sheets are unusabel for me, cause the chords are badly overlapping and i cant read them. i would be very happy for a quick fix for that!
last but not least: i requested a feature long time ago, that allows set a separte color for comments. i am still missing this feature. i use the highlight-tag at the moment, which is kind of awkward. would still love to have an option to specify a separate color for comments. also i am missing an easy way to "highlight" some letters within the lyrics. i use "<span color="aqua">my highlighted text</span> to highlight emphasis letters of words (because it helps me alot to remember how to sing lyrics correct that i dont know very well), but to insert this on a tablet without a keyboard is very awkward and costs lots of time.
thats it for now. keep on your good work!

Metronome problem with 1st count |

I seem to have to report a bug in 3.9.16 Google version:
If I add 'emphasize 1st hit' on the metronome, visual and auditive signal aren't in line: the visual 1 comes on the auditive 3. I've never encountered that before. Or is it only because I added 'emphasize 1st hit' while it was playing? (b.t.w., I would like to always have it or always have it disabled, but to me, it looks like it comes and goes).

Deleted redundant files, clean up database? |

In my music library I had several thousand PDFs, and to pare things down, I recently deleted some duplicate subfolders. When I search, the old duplicate files still come up as result, and clicking on them displays a "file not found" error.
Is there a way to rebuild the music library without losing prior annotations, etc., to clean out these phantom duplicates? Or another process to delete those entries from the library?
Thanks!
Kirk
