Whenever I select/copy a portion of a page using the snipping tool, then paste it somewhere else in the document, the pasted area has a gray background. Is there a way to avoid this and keep the original background color? I tried the image correction tool, but that didn't help.

Hello,

I'm guessing you may have the page color tone set to gray. Please bring up the display mode dialog (to the left of the page scaling icon with blue arrows) and change the page color tone to "None". Then try to use the snipping tool. Let me know if that resolves the issue for you. The snipping tool is using the actual pixels rendered for the page and just making a copy of them.
