I'm running MobileSheets 3.8.43 on three Android tablets that have all been working fine. Two of the tablets are running Android 13, the third is on Android 9.
My database has nearly 9000 songs in it and the PDFs and audio files take about 10GB. The two on 13 are both set to let MS manage the storage as they have plenty of internal storage. The Android 9 device is user-managed to put all the files on a uSD card as it has insufficient internal storage. The Android 9 was my original. I backed it up with the companion and restored to one of the Android 13 devices without problem. The other Android 13 device was loaded using device syncing with the first Android 13 device.
Since then, I've modified files on both Android 13 devices and used 2-way device sync to get them both to the same level. However, I'm unable to use device sync to bring the Android 9 device up to date. I've tried syncing with both Android 13 devices, with the Android 9 as both client and server but the sync shows that the Android 13 device has sent its database file to the Android 9 device (which stores it with a temporary filename) and the process then hangs when the Android 9 device tries to send its database file (this is the last message shown).
Backup and restore from Companion work fine with the Android 9 device.
Apart from the version of Android being different, the only other significant difference I can think of is MS vs user-managed storage.
Any clues as to why the sync doesn't complete are welcome.

I want to export one long song. However, after I select the Dropbox icon, which opens my dropbox folder correctly, I navigate to the internal dropbox folder I wish to save the exported song to and choose OK. This brings up the Export Files window where I can select 4 options for the files to be exported. I have them all checked. At this time, I am no longer in the selected dropbox folder, but in the "folder" that lists all the songs in my library.
I return to the Export Files popup, the Path listed does indeed show the path as follows: Path: / data/data/com.zubersoft. mobilesheetspro/cache/myfile.pdf
I realize that this was not the dropbox location I'd just chosen. But I still tried clicking on OK. It opens the Export in Progress popup which says it is Exporting file NOTWHATICHOOSE.pdf
It's clear that choosing a path for export that is not the path that I selected, and it is exporting the wrong file.
Is there anyone having the same issue? How to solve it?
I just attempted to import a very large file (a fake book) using one of the CSV files I found in the CSV sub-forum here.
It did not work. My PDF for the fake book and the CSV file did not match.
So now I have over 1000 songs with the wrong title. Or actually, I had. I tried to fix it by removing the big PDF file from the storage in the tablet, in the hope that MobileSheets would discover that the file was gone and remove the songs.
My plan failed.
The songs are still there in the list in MobileSheets.
So now I have over 1000 songs which, when I select them, mobile sheets informs me that the file does not exist.
Is there a way to fix this? And how should i have done if from the start?
I have scanned a song of several pages. Each page is correctly framed during the scan. When I look at the song on Mobile Sheets, for several pages the crop is incorrect (it has been modified to show only part of the page) and the rotation is wrong. I correct both of these manually and click the "tick" button after each page. However, when I return to these pages, they have reverted to the incorrect crop and/or rotation.
This seems a consistent repeatable bug, unless I am doing something wrong.
it seems that after installation of one of the recent updates the behaviour of mobilesheets has changed when a MIDI device is connected.
Since then it always asks for permission to give access rights for my MIDI device every time i plug it in (Grant MobileSheets access to (...device...)?).
That's pretty annoying especially because it's always the same device I connect.
Is there a way to store the granted permission for every future connection?

I am very new to MobileSheets so please excuse my possible stupidity...
I have just bought a Gaalxy Ultra S9 and purchased MobileSheets. I am trying to scale (stretch) my music to fit the whole screen. I have followed the instructions (tap in the centre of the screen to bring up the overlay). However, I don't get the same icon layout as described in the YT video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_8GXnlNfm0. I get a full width icon bar at the top of the screen only.
I see some of the icons are the same, so I am guessing that this is because of the version I am using: 3.8.40. The issue for me is that the page scaling icon is not there.
Maybe that is too much I call for:
My combo has a piece of music with (f.i.) 28 pages. My part is on page 5 and 6. I define following page-order: 5,6,1-28. I do this, to have my part in the beginning but also have the complet set together.
Now I make some manual additions/remarks on page 5. This additions are only saved in this particular page 5, not in its sibling.
Would be nice, if that could be changed (if possible).
(Making this remarks on page 5 before changing the page-order and then changing the order as above takes the additions to the twin page as wanted. But sometimes you add remarks only later, if you practice with the combo...)

I have a M-VAVE Chocolate Wireless Pedal, it is communicating with my tablet, but doesn’t appear to be recognised by MobileSheets. Can anyone please advise me how (or if) I can get it to turn the pages in MobileSheets? Thank you in anticipation.
I have just recently started using the built in scanning capabilities of MS to add new songs to my database.
I am either doing something wrong, or there is a problem related to naming these new pieces.
Here is my process:
1) While in the "Songs" category click "New"
2) Click the Camera icon
3) Take a picture of the music and click "Done"
4) The PDF is created and a default name is created that appears to be derived from the current date. That new name is shown in the very upper left hand of the screen, and also below that in green.
5) I want to rename the new song so I click the 3 vertical dots and select "Rename File"
6) A dialog box is presented and I change the name of the newly scanned piece
7) The Green text shows the new name, but the very upper left hand part of the screen still shows the default name.
8) When I exit back to the main menu the newly scanned piece does not have the name I assigned, it has the default numeric name.
9) I then have to long press the song, enter the "Edit" menu where I can rename the piece.
If I'm doing something wrong, please let me know.
