New 14.1 inch android tablet PERFECT
#31
I had some problems with this tablet, amongst others with the cameras missing.
I contacted meswao's support desk and they have sent me a brand new one.
The new tablet is functioning well.
To open any app you have to swipe from below and drag the widget to the main screen.
The brightness of the screen can easily be adapted after swiping from above.

I'm a user from Germany and bought the MESWAO-Tablet in November 2023. Since I mainly use it as a digital music stand (with MobileSheets), I am generally satisfied.
However, I noticed a malfunction as follows:
On my Meswao-Tablet, it is not possible to enter any app via the settings menu (for example to delete the cache of an app). When I tap on "settings" and than on any app, I'm given an error message “Einstellungen wurde beendet" (in englisch this should be something like "Settings terminated”) or the system just jumps back to the Settings-main-menu. I have created a PDF-Document with pics for better understanding (cf. ).
Even a reset to the factory-settings did not change this malfunction.
The fast and friendly Meswao-support then provided me a flashing-documentation (as described in thread #19 by mdavej) to update the firmware. The flashing worked, I now have the system/build version: MES-B1 20231013. But unfortunately, the flashing did not resolve the malfunction described above.
I then asked the support to send me a new tablet in exchange, which they did. I tested the new tablet and unfortunately it shows exactly the same malfunction.
Therefore now my request to you as MESWAO-Tablet-Users: would you please try to access an app via the Settings-Menu and report your results in this forum?
I assume, that this error exists on all Meswao tablets and that there is a general problem with the Meswao basic software in interaction with Android12. In that case, I would contact Meswao support again and ask the Meswao software developers to take a closer look at this malfunction in order to provide a system update.
Anyway - I think I will keep the tablet, as the above error does not hinder its main use as a digital music folder.
Thanks for your support!

Sorry for the delayed response.  I do not have this problem, am running the original OS build number and have not done any firmware updates.  I do keep up with all the Google updates and also perform the  Setting>Security>GooglePlaySystemUpdate, which does not seem to get updated during the regular updates.

Thx - I have sent the Meswao 14,1 inch-tablet back meanwhile and purchased the newer edition with 15,6 inch instead. The new one has Android13 and doesn't show the above described problems, everythings working fine.

This darn thing only cost under $340.  It runs complete circles around our - Lenovo, HP, Dell, Samsung and even Apple tablets and laptops.  We have about 10 tabs and laptops of various brands running MS Pro.

This MESWAO feels very solid, only weights about 2 lbs, fits perfectly in a mic stand mount bracket and to beat all,  the battery at the end of a 4 hour gig is only down to 63% still available.  Used it for 3 gigs already.

Loading our song restore database takes only about a whopping 5 seconds.    I hate to say this, but all these other big name tablet vendors need to get their act together on price to performance if this is what is coming out now from smaller factories.

The stand mount bracket is a --  Talent PROCLAW from Parts Express for $19.

The tablet has 6 gig ram and 128 gig disk storage.  Comes with the charger.

I purchased some inexpensive tablets before for testing and gig use and they all stunk ( short battery life, they all tend to break on a simple fall, not bright enough in the sunshine ).   This new one impressed me so much I just purchased a 2nd one already.

In portrait mode it is a perfect size for Mobilesheets page display.   I never heard of MESWAO brand before, but I am impressed.

Best of luck Ya-all  !!

I saw some of these. 14.1" tablets starting at $65. I would be interested if someone found 3:2 or 4:3 ratio. Currently using a Lenovo X61 bought used. Wife uses an Acer Spin.  They are under $300 new. Much lower used.

The actual height and width of the screen are 12 x 6-3/4 (=16:9 ratio), so the width is really constraining and you can't typically use all of the available height when viewing scores in portrait mode. If your source pdf files are from 8-1/2 x 11 scans, then you'll literally have about 2-1/2 inches of dead vertical space.

So your effective page size is 6-3/4 wide and about 9-3/8 tall, which equals about 11.5 inches diagonally, still a good number but not anywhere close to the 14.1 inch screen size.
It may just be that you need to adjust your display settings in MSP. I have two 14" tablets, a Virgin Teletablet and a Ventura Lunamax. The screens on both are the same size as the Meswao, 12" x 6-3/4", and the diagonal is 14". In portrait mode, the full pdf page is shown, with no dead space. I mainly use landscape mode, with half-page scrolling, and, again, there is no dead space anywhere.

Sorry but that's mathematically impossible. 16:9 does not equal 4:3 (16:12), not even close. There is no MSP setting to overcome this. You must be cropping the sides like crazy.
