I wanna start off by saying I really like your software, I've been using it for some time now both for practice and live performance purposes!

Today, something weird started happening, which has never happened in the past.

Whenever I tried turning on the metronome within a piece, the app would crash, but then it stopped happening on its own. Then, some time after, the app crashed randomly while turning a page. I've never experienced a single crash in the past, so I'd appreciate some insight into what might be happening.

My device is a Samsung S8 ultra and I have crash reports enabled. The crashes happened somewhere between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. today (Indiana time), and then sometime in the evening, if I recall correctly.

V 3.9.14

Had the update notice when I opened MS today. After a while after an hour, so say 10 songs, mainly going in and out of random songs in the collection list, the screen became unresponsive and I got a Wait or Close. I tried waiting, and then I got another Waiting. I killed it. The App remained a bit sticky, reluctant to respond to screen presses. One specific action was accidentally starting the metronome hitting the bottom of the screen and it froze and had to be killed. On restarting the app it still was reluctant to interact - I could use my footswitch (dodgy swipe emulator) but not my finger as a tap. I could not get the menu border to disappear with a centre press.

I have since restarted the tablet after my session, (for the first time in maybe a couple of months) and it isn't playing up at the moment.

So just noting it in case other people have a glitch. I am suspicious of the update as I've never had it go wrong on me before over very long sessions. Nothing else running as far as I was aware.

I am using the e-ink-version from the Fastspring store. Today I was prompted an update to version 3.9.15. After a restart the release notes from version 3.9.15 are shown, but the app itself shows as version 3.9.14 and as a consequence of that the update prompt keeps popping up.

Could it be that the version string in the app had not been updated correctly?

I see that a change was made in the latest version of MSP to always assume the most recent file location for the backup file. May I complain?

I always do a local file backup, and then immediately after a backup in a Dropbox folder I've called Mobile Sheets Backups. My memory is not so good, but this used to be easy. I think I was always offered file locations of local or Dropbox, and if I chose dropbox, the location I wanted came up. Now I just get the local file offered, and if I click the folder icon to choose something else, I get a bunch of options, but I don't recognize any of them. Well, it does show my previous backup, not in a folder (well, called "Root - storage -emulated - 0"). I don't know what that means, but if I click Root, like I do when I change the location from which I want to download a file from a Dropbox folder, it says I don't have access. If I select the existing file from January, which is not the local backup I just did today on March 1, I see that the one in Dropbox was not updated, so I don't know what that I supposedly updated was. That one after the update when I said ok to replace it, still shows the January date.

I don't seem to be getting any option to save the backup where I used to save it, in my folder for external backups that I created on Dropbox. I want a backup there in case I lose my tablet and from which to update the the most recent backup to my phone.

Am I not understanding something, or have I lost the ability to do an external backup, or to do it where I want to do it?
It's sort-of beside the point that I never want to save the backup where I just saved it, as I always save to a local then an external file.

I am looking for a tablet to view Mobilesheets and TCL was recommended.  I have looked for more information and found that new TCL tablets have anti-glare screens and 14" screens which are very attractive.  I have looked for stores or online sources to buy one with limited success.  There are several sources for earlier TCL models and this online site has the 14" model.  The online site is  https://www.tradeinn.com/techinn/en/tcl-...HIInEXkKUo  It seems a little sketchy.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

More and more people in my orchestra use tablets with MobileSheets, even our Maestro found it far better than what he used to use, when I suggested to give it a try.

For distributing scores to our members I upload the PDFs to specific directories on my webspace. They download their parts and import them into MS. What I'd like to know....is there a way that they can import them straight from the URL of my webspace? I don't want to use DropBox or GDrive because I would have to share username and password so they can access the files.

Can URLs be accessed via Import --> System File Browser? So that the people can see the structure of the directories and then access the various diretories with the scores?

Download and then import works and nobody ever complained it is too difficult, but if it could be done easier, that would be great :-)

I am using the flatpak version of the companion on Fedora Linux. A few days ago I was prompted an update, but automatic updating did not work. I had a quick look into the console and saw a error that "gnome-terminal" could not be called.

In the end I think it is not so easy to fix this, because it also depends, if the flatpak is installed system-wide (which would need additional rights for the update) or only in the user directory. The "linux" way would probably be to publish the flatpak (and updates) on flathub.org, but I can understand, that it probably is not worth your limited time for such a tiny userbase using this package.

In the end for me personally it is absolutely not a problem: If I get the update-notification I just download the new flatpak and install it manually. A pragmatic solution could be to just disable automatic updating and only show an update notification.

I installed MobileSheets Pro on my smartphone (meant to be an emergency backup of my tablet) and restored the most recent backup (database and settings) from my tablet.
Audio files are not copied to the MS directory as per settings.

For some reason the restored version on my smartphone expects audio files to be located in the MobileSheets directory, eventhough the settings are identical to those of my tablet ('copy audio files' = 'off')

MS directory on the smartphone (device02) is: /storage/6434-3134/Android/data/com.zubersoft.mobilesheetspro/files

Example:
- Audio file on device 01:
 /storage/0000-0000/Music/AC-DC/Back in Black/06 - Back in Black.mp3

Displayed path to audio on device 02 (with error message: file not found)
/storage/6434-3134/Android/data/com.zubersoft.mobilesheetspro/files/Back in Black/06 - Back in Black.mp3

the correct path is:
/storage/6434-3134/Music/AC-DC/Back in Black/06 - Back in Black.mp3 

Unfortunately, the path to the associated audio files is different on the smartphone. So even if the app would consider the settings, the path would still be invalid, - I am aware of this.
But the path to audio files on device 01 and device 02 only differs at the second position: /storage/0000-0000/... vs. /storage/6434-3134/...
I was hoping for some 'magic' option to supply the root directory of audio files on device 02

Is there a way to fix this issue without editing each and every song?
